We so strongly believe in our religion, strong enough to hate people of other religion. But not deep enough to love everyone despite religion.
A person who claims to love God and Religion, but hates people, is just fooling himself
At the center of the religion is love. I love you, I forgive you. I am like you, you are like me. I love all the people. I love the world. And I love creating. Everything in our lifes should be based on love.
But there is a problem with religion. Religious fantasies do not help us live life, they explain it, open it like a book only to shut it again once and for all. Religions are specific fantasies, they are fantasies which contain the seeds to kill all other fantasies.
Anybody who thinks for a moment about the question of God, provided they set aside their culture, family and traditions- in a nutshell, their old habits- will see religion as a set of fables or philosophical systems which are always very instructive but which are also exclusively human. But Man likes his fantasies. And Rightly so.
When we talk of Churches, we also mean mosques, synagogues, Buddhist temples, and all institutionalized forms of religion. We are not, as some people say, witnessing a revival of Faith. A few thousand people circum-ambulating a relic or jumping up and down chanting nonsense with the word god throw in for good measure is not a sign of religious revival, on the contrary, it is an indication of the final collapse of the very idea of God.
Churches do not allow us to attain the Divine, or, more modestly, to reach the depth of things, in fact, they stop us from doing so.
